Glamour's Redesign Bash! Santigold, The Ting Tings, Oh My...
(NEW YORK) Nothing worth revamping and unveiling should go down without a soiree to celebrate the grunt work involved in the process, obviously. Glamour got the memo and threw a bash at The Box in honor of its spiffy redesign, filling the kind-of-amazing petite burlesque theater with Santigold's DJ prowess and The Ting Tings infectiously fun tunes.
As for the rationale behind the pepped-up music acts of choice: "Because they’re freakin’ awesome!" extolled the mag's EIC, Cindi Leive. Coco Rocha, Krysten Ritter, and Olivia Palermo turned out for the occasion, as did NYFW virgin Emily Van Kamp, soaking in the resplendent digs. While there was plenty of space to rock out to the Ting Tings at the venue, the same can't be said for combining the Revenge star and the wrong kind of vacay accommodation. "I do get pretty claustrophobic, I guess! I don’t like being in hotel rooms where the windows don’t open. And I don’t love being in big crowds, either."
Also on the premises, less than 24 hours off a flight from L.A., was Glamour's new fashion editor-at-large, Louise Roe, who admitted to a half-dozen frock switch-ups and a whole of love from the title's 4 Times Square team. "Everyone has been really welcoming, and no one’s told me what to say or do," said Roe of the parfait fit between her and the fresh-faced mag. Cindi's have-it-all balance of work and play (accented by an excellent sense of humor) inspired a cocktail of awe and affability from Roe. And the mag's fash powers that be? "Anne Christensen is just a legend,” Roe said. “She’s awesome—and so beautiful!” As are you, cheri!
