Fêting the Springtime

(NEW YORK) Springtime in New York is synonymous with a lot of things, and one our favorites and most festive is the New Yorkers For Children annual Fool’s Fête. Brilliant gowns will shuffle into ballroom at the Mandarin Oriental Thursday, April 8 for an evening of cocktails, silent auction, dinner and dancing. Friends including Selita Ebanks, Zac Posen, Joy Bryant, Andrew Saffir, Rachel Roy and others will toast the evening's cause in support of NYFC. Akris will sponsor the event and Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos will serve as the evening’s honorary chair. Tuesday, March 16 Akris will host a cocktail party in anticipation of the soiree at their Madison Avenue boutique, as guests enjoy a special presentation of Akris’ Spring/Summer 2010 collection.
