Doing It All, SJP-Style
(NEW YORK) In the dead-center of a packed week of NYFW shows and soirees, an assortment of fashionable folks squeezed in a screening of I Don’t Know How She Does It hosted by the Cinema Society with QVC & Palladium, so proving it is possible to do it all. The film's star, Sarah Jessica Parker, who constantly seems to be doing it all, arrived on the red carpet avec husband Matthew Broderick. The premiere fetched SJP's co-stars in the flick, Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, Christina Hendricks, Olivia Munn, Jane Curtin, and Jessica Szohr, plus one-third of the Disney-born bro trio of twee phenoms, Kevin Jonas--all grown up, alongside wife Danielle Deleasa. Marie Claire editrix Joanna Coles also took a breather from the front row to take in the film.
How does one do it all? Well, having a humble attitude is probably a start. “What I always say is that there are millions of women in this country that do it better than I do with far less resources and much less support,” Parker said. Wise words indeed, but it's too fun to watch you do it all, SJP! “You can have it all, it just depends on what you want...and realizing what you love,” co-star Olivia Munn explained. Deep words for a red carpet, non?
The ready-to-party fleet meandered over to the post-premiere soiree, held at the Hudson Hotel to sip bubbly under the stars in the candlelit open-air terrace and chow down on platters of chicken sliders, sliced steak, and caprese salad nibbles. Emma Roberts arrived with Glee star Chord Overstreet, and the duo mingled for awhile in a banquette with pals. Also on hand for the festivities of the reel, not runway variety was a crowd including Jackie Collins, Russell Simmons, Rachel Zoe, Regis Philbin, Shalom Harlow, and Rachel Roy. As the the bash tuckered out, it was time to get back to doing it all and powering through the rest of the week. Bonne chance!
