Die Hard Twihards
(NEW YORK) Is Teen Vogue's Amy Astley a Twihard? Yep! Does Calvin Klein root for Team Jacob or Team Edward? He'll never tell. Last night, both Klein and Astley, along with Jessica Szohr, Howard and Beth Stern, Kelly Bensimon, Sean Avery, Olivier Theyskens, Jessica White, Anja Rubik, and Andie MacDowell, gathered at The Sunshine Theater for the top secret Cinema Society/DKNY screening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.
“I’ve been on such a whirlwind on the Twilight tour. I don’t even know my name!” declared Ashley Greene, who just began her foray on television with ABC's hit show Pan Am. What does the star do to cope in her downtime? “I’m over Angry Birds, so I’ve been listening to Adele on repeat. And I’ve recently been on a nineties kick. I listen to The Counting Crows and Alanis Morissette a lot.”
“This is my first Twilight experience. I’ve never seen the movies before or read the books,” confessed MacDowell. So, is there anything the actress geeks out on? “Does hiking count? Oh, I bird watch! That’s nerdy. My favorite is the hummingbird,” she whispered at the Sons of Essex after-party where moviegoers mingled with cast mates while munching on eggplant-stuffed tomatoes and arugula mushroom pizza and imbibing Grey Goose cocktails. One thing the actress isn't into lately: dating. "I don’t remember any problems as a teenager. There are many more problems dating as an adult. There’s nobody left! That’s why I have a dog. He's a great date," MacDowell laughed.
“I’ve never been a dater either," admitted Nikki Reed. "Before my husband Paul [McDonald], I hadn’t gone on a date in a year and a half. My dad used to joke with me that I should maybe see a therapist about it.” Her co-star, Peter Facinelli, chimed in. "My first kiss was in a movie theater, with a girl who had a boyfriend that I didn’t know about. He jumped me with three of his friends. I got the crap beat out of me. Love hurts sometimes."
