Dear Daily!
Ivanka Trump recently dashed over to the Middle East on behalf of the Trump Organization and her jewelry company, and while her days were packed with business meetings and a bit of blessed free time at the Bahrain History Museum or the racetracks, she managed to squeeze in a postcard to The Daily. Behold her travel tales and photographs of all the Bahrain action!
Dear Daily,
The minute I landed in Bahrain, I was so impressed by the warmth of the people and the beauty of the region. Everywhere you turn there is blue water, rolling deserts, palm trees and perfect summer weather. The love and respect for history and tradition in the GCC is very inspiring to me.
I'm in the region on behalf of the Trump Organization, our real estate and investment company, as we have several partners and diversified interests here. In addition, my jewelry company is in the process of expanding through the GCC in the Fall of 2010. We recently exhibited my jewelry collection at the Doha Jewelry and Watch Exhibition for the first time with very positive feedback. This region's focus and appreciation of history, and the consumers' demand for top quality materials, reinforces my beliefs for the jewelry line's potential here.
I managed to squeeze in some sightseeing at the Bahrain History Museum, but the most exciting part of my trip was attending the Formula 1T Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. The race track was incredible and the fans were exhilarated to be there. I ended up cheering all the drivers--being simply a thrilled spectator. After the race, I went to a dinner to celebrate the winners and saw Paulo Nutini perform later on that night; he was fantastic!
I arrived in Doha, Qatar on Sunday for a mere 24 hours. Doha is another beautiful city here in the Gulf. I didn't have time to sightsee this trip but spent a few relaxing minutes watching the sun rise from my hotel room in Doha prior to departing for the airport. Just landed in Abu Dhabi for another day of meetings before heading to Israel and then on to Jordan (and then finally home.) Between my hectic travel schedule, constant meetings, staying in touch with the office and my fans via Twitter during the Celebrity Apprentice season premiere and a few more stops to make, home still looks a long way away.
