Dear Daily!
Dear Daily,
What a week! My company Shoshanna, just finished sponsoring The Associates Council Lunch at The Oak Room at the Plaza. Though it was cold, a bevy of beautiful women braved the freezing temperatures to honor Dr. Michael La Quaglia, chief of the Pediatric Surgical Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. There were so many incredible women supporting the group, including my dear friends Charlotte Ronson, Eugenie Niven Goodman, Stefanie Winston Wolkoff, Fabiola Beracasa, Samantha Boardman Rosen, Nina Rennert Davidson, Eleanor Ylvisaker, Dani Stahl, Stephanie Coleman, Rebekah McCabe, and Coralie Charriol Paul.
The event raised over $100,000 for a special Pediatric Family Housing Endowment! This pays for overnight stays at nearby accommodations when children and their families come from out of town for treatment and are unable to afford this expense themselves. As the vice chairman of the Society's Associates Committee, I know first hand how important the work that they do is. I could not have been more proud to sponsor this event.
As a treat, I brought along my pre-fall collection for the ladies to preview and shop 30% off, with 15% going back to The Society. With a discount like that, who could possibly feel bad about shopping?! Everyone picked out some chic staple pieces for the summer and all left feeling good. Now if only a percentage of all of my shopping could go back to charity…..
xoxo
