Back in the Swing of Things
(NEW YORK) Is fashion season already a distant memory? Apparently. The social season ramps up---again---with a slew of parties this week. The main event is Wednesday's CFDA Awards nomination party at DvF's studio; expect everyone from Marc to Oscar to engage in the revelry.
And two brands are throwing two bashes--each--this week. Jason Wu will be feted this evening by Elle at EDIT boutique on Lexington and 90th (uptownies, unite!); he will also toast his new studio on 35th Street on Thursday. Akris is hosting a shopping event with New Yorkers for Children at its Madison Avenue store tomorrow night; designer Albert Kriemler will appear at Bergdorf Goodman on Thursday night to toast 30 years of the brand's collabs with Steven Klein.
Elsewhere, Patrick McMullan will host his annual St. Patrick's Day event at Santo's Party House on Wednesday. Valentino is hosting a luncheon at its Madison Avenue store tomorrow. And today---in an hour, really---Debbie Bancroft is hosting a luncheon at East Side Social Club. Later this evening, Niche Media is hosting its Gotham Gala at Capitale while the Philharmonic celebrates its Spring Gala at Avery Fisher Hall. Let's hope you have enough cocktail attire---to say nothing of cocktails.
