(NEW YORK) Those hailing from Down Under, and the pals that love them, gathered last night for the annual bash of Aussie proportions, otherwise known as the Australians in New York Fashion Foundation's June shindig, sponsored by the Woolmark Company. The backdrop? The Crosby Street Hotel, the quiet cobblestone streetscape of which never fails to be a disconnect from the excitement inside.

Sipping on pomegranate-infused cocktails: a crowd including Nicole Trunfio, Ajak Deng, Karlie Kloss, Linda Fargo, Hamish Bowles, Italo Zucchelli, Annabel Tollman, Jason Wu, Shanina Shaik, Melissa George, Julia Nobis, and AINYFF co-founder Julie Anne Quay.

“I think it’s organic that we all met up socially and realized it would be really nice to put a foundation together where we could network with each other but also help support young Australians," explained founding member and Calvin Klein’s EVP of global communications, Malcolm Carfrae. 

Amid air kisses, Jason Wu caught up with Karlie Kloss, while Ruby Jean Wilson escaped the bustling crowd for a gasper break mid-party. Wu's Aussie love runs deep, in case you weren't aware. “All of my best friends are Australians, and some of my favorite models are also Australian!"  

To Carfrae’s fellow Aussie BFF Laura Brown, “the feeling of air, sleekness and movement that we have in Australia is so key and is communicated through some of our best designers." 

DJ Phen Fannie played the perfect backdrop tunes while guests bid on artwork; meanwhile, a model knocked over a glass or two, but hey, that’s a typical NYC party for you. Any doubts as to who reigns supreme at keeping things fun? The waiters' shirts said it all: “Aussies do it better."
