(NEW YORK) The Crosby Street Hotel saw plenty of action on Wednesday night for the premiere of Alan Taylor’s film, Thor: The Dark World. Hosted by The Cinema Society along with Dior Beauty and Marie Claire, the screening of the highly anticipated dark sequel met moviegoers' high expectations. The film stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Natalie Portman as Jane, his love interest with Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins rounding out the cast. Portman stunned in a colorful sequined Dior top and slick black pants. She also rocked a new hairdo, revealing a short haircut and dark color, which she just got earlier that day. “You can probably still smell the dye!” Portman exclaimed. What was the chicest thing she wore in the film?  “Her cool Edwardian jewelry, her pins and bracelets are so elegant," said Portman.

Notables getting their Thor on included Howard and Beth Stern, Counting Crow’s Adam Duritz, Downton Abbey’s Lesley Nicol, mod Garrett Neff, and Orange is the New Black stars Alysia Reiner and Jackie Cruz. The fashion fave of the night was Carrie Diaries star AnnaSophia Robb, who wowed the crowd in a black leather top and fitted black pants. Marie Claire’s lovely editrix Anne Fulenwider also turned out for the occasion.

Following the screening, guests hit The Marlton Hotel for Qui Tequila cocktails, which were named after the film’s characters, featuring titles like Thor and Loki. The soiree attracted names like Nigel Barker, Kelly Bensimon, and Nina Garcia, and was the perfect cocktail-spiked cool-down from the haute action flick.
