(NEW YORK) The chic set may know Hedi Ferjani as Erin Fetherston’s red-carpet companion, but his work as an artist is also in the spotlight. Ferjani, who collaborated with Fetherston on the masks her models wore during her Fall 2009 runway show, just opened his own show, “The Art of War,” at the Michali Fine Art gallery on New York’s Lower East Side. Exploring the “superficial and barbaric nature of the human condition,” the exhibit features metallic skulls and gilded and glitter-covered guns and hand grenades—“semi precious weapons,” as Ferjani calls them. The Daily hears Steven Meisel has taken an interest and recently shot several of Ferjani’s pieces. Could a Vogue cameo be imminent?
