(NEW YORK) Italo Zucchelli arrived at the Calvin Klein Collection party on the High Line extremely empty-handed. "I live close by, so my friend dropped it off at home," he said of his brand-spanking-new CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award, which he movingly dedicated to none other than Calvin Klein himself. "It's heavier than it looks! And I don't want it to get scratched or rained on." Luckily, the weather held and those CK umbrellas weren't even needed as the top tier of CFDA Award-goers trotted (en taxi) downtown to toast Zucchelli's hard-earned victory with the first party on the recently-unveiled public park.

Good thing the designer had both hands free for shaking, as he was essentially accosted by thrilled friends and awestruck admirers. "He has worked extremely hard," said Francisco Costa. "We've had an amazing couple of years. I'm just so lucky to work with him!" Newly-crowned Swarovski Award winners Alexander Wang and Justin Giunta joined Ed Norton, Tom Sachs, Diane von Furstenberg, Richard ChaiTerence KohDree Hemingway, Bradley Cooper, Gerard Butler and Lisa Marie and Phillip Falcone to inaugurate the space (and swill plenty of Belvedere in the process). "I wasn’t nervous about the award, but I was nervous about Dree's dress," said Wang. "But it finally came together!"

A few were famished, given what one can only assume to be a buffet bias, and Rafe Totencgo proposed an innovative solution. "Hey, Peter, you only live a few minutes away..." he suggested to Peter Som. "Don't you have a few cakes laying around somewhere?" "I could cook for you guys," Som offered. "But is there a grocery store open at this hour?"

Jim Moore was still on an Eleanor Lambert high. "Comparitively, my Barneys party was very low-key," he said. "In fact, I took my mom to see the windows today. They were tearing them down, but at least she got the idea." Meanwhile, Brian Atwood helped Molly Sims twirl in the Dolce dress she almost wore to the Costume Institute Gala, while Donna Karan mingled alongside Danny DeVito. Quel crowd! "It's a good night for Calvin, and a great night for Italo," declared Kevin Carrigan, surveying the scope and scale of a party that only this house could execute. "Champagne?"
