(CANNES) “On the press days, we like to totally match and mess around with people’s heads,” laughed Dean and Dan Caten in South of France yesterday. And if there was a great day for Dsquared2 boys to be twins, yesterday was it. The duo not only opened a new boutique smack in the middle of the Croisette, they also officially launched their eyewear line with a raucous house party in a grand Villa. “You have to get them while they’re all here!” Dan explained. “Eyewear is an accessory that kind of completes everything,” Dean added. “And if you absolutely can’t have everything you want from the collection, at least you can look fabulous in sunglasses.” “It was also great to have so many supermodels in our little campaign,” added Dan. “We never worked with Linda [Evangelista] and she’s Canadian like us. It’s a tribute to Steven Meisel, who pushed the whole thing!”

Another man who pushed the twins’ success? Renzo Rosso, who arrived to the bash with his happy entourage on a later side and immediately started praising the brothers. “Dean and Dan are like my luck and my children!” he exclaimed. “I brought them on when they were fairly young, and now we’re just enjoying the fruits of our hard labor.” Cannes being a part of their big plan, of course. “This is one great magical celebrity adventure,” Rosso noted. “They boys don’t really believe in paid contracts with the people that they dress so the festival is really just about meeting a lot of great people in a short period of time and really creating your own relationships.”

The evening bash turned into an unforgettable house party. DJ Sinclair spun everything from Kanye West to Madonna on the backyard, while club kids, editors, and happy attendees like Peaches Geldof, Roberta Armani, and Malin Ackerman explored the mansion’s two levels and enjoyed the especially prepared mini-burgers. “I would wear these sunglasses immediately to Bora Bora,” decided Ackerman at the end of the night. “It’s an ideal spot with all those huts on the water. And I would certainly rock them!”
