(LOS ANGELES) Dear Daily,
You know summer is arriving when all of L.A. is planning its winter wardrobe. Out with the fur stole, in with the Ferretti--at least, that was the theme Wednesday afternoon on Canon Drive as the C.H.I.P.S (Colleagues Helpers in Philanthropic Services) honored the Italian fashion icon Alberta Ferretti.
Guests like Marisa Tomei, Wolverine star Lynn Collins, Angie Harmon, Julie Benz, Jessica Stroup, Nicky Hilton, Kathryn Morris and the loveliest ladies who (sometimes) lunch were thrilled to greet Ms. Ferretti at the Montage Beverly Hills only two days after the Met gala. A rapid recovery to say the least!
Yes, it was the most stylish hen den Los Angeles has seen in ages, and the grilled chicken entrée was so apropos for an afternoon of Fall/Winter Fashion. The ladies toasted their honored guest Alberta Ferretti, who graciously accepted their token of appreciation.
"I am so honored to be in Los Angeles among such beautiful and intelligent women," said Ferretti, excusing herself for that adorable Italian accent that makes any crowd coo.
"I don't typically do lunches like this," said Tomei as she walked in to a room of Beverly Hills royalty. Anything for Alberta? I think so, and my lunch dates would most definitely agree.
