(NEW YORK) "There's good stuff here--really good stuff," Sandra Bernhard assured a roomful of artlovers last night at the Moschino boutique on West 14th Street. The actress was en cocktail to toast Ross Bleckner's "Welcome to Gulu" exhibition at the United Nations, which the Italian brand is sponsoring. She was referring to the clothes, but the same could be said of the arts and spirits (the latter of which were quite high).

The room was warm, but the crowd was cool, as Lisa Anastos and Andrew Saffir and Daniel Benedict mingled with magazine types Jessica Diehl and Virginia Smith. "I brought the whole crowd," laughed Amy Astley, introducing hubby Chris and daughters Edith and Ingrid to the revellers, who were busy lapping up champagne and sake-tinis while nibbling sushi rolls from Megu. "Supporting the arts never gets old," said Lydia Fenet, who admittedly has a vested interest. And for Bleckner, this soirée was just an inaugural toast--come May 12, the artist will fête his latest work at the United Nations. Good stuff.
