(NEW YORK) Though Los Angeles may be considered a city that relishes all things newer and younger, it’s safe to say that the citizens harbor a special place for older treasures. On April 22, the Los Angeles Antiques Show will hold its Opening Night preview party at the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Air Center, which will benefit P.S. Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the arts to public education. More than one chic A-lister is getting behind the cause: the host committee consists of Ellen Degeneres, Portia de Rossi, Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyers, among others. 2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominee Irene Neuwirth is on the collectors committee, and jewelry designer Loree Rodkin is just one of the members of the chic set who’ll grace the design committee.
