(PARIS) "On my way in? Nope, I'm on my way out," Hal Rubenstein smiled while exiting the teeming Cavalli boutique on rue St. Honoré after paying his respects to Mr. Roberto. The opening bash was as fraught with crashers and overflowing with celebs as one could imagine, but once inside, the star types abounded. Diane Kruger was already exiting en voiture as the line grew outside, while Milla Jovovich and Angela Lindvall stayed awhile. Cavalli himself was safely ensconced in his VIP room, which was sectioned off by two imposing bodyguards.

Cavalli dared to exit the sacred space once. "I'm coming to you," he murmured into a cell phone while fetching a floundering aquaintence mingling with the masses. Jade Jagger, Inès de la Fressange and Kanye West made it upstairs safely, bypassing the white wine, rum-soaked pastries and mousse-filled cream puffs. Natasha Poly cozied up to Raquel Zimmerman, while Alex de Betak arrived on the later side. The space was gorgeous, but that was hardly surprising chez Cavalli--the truly interesting stuff happened when Cavalli began chatting with new bestie Renzo Rosso. Do we sense a new production partner for the Just Cavalli line?
