(NEW YORK) Alternate universe alert: a beauty product launch not starring a gorgeous young actress or socialite? Kiehl’s is going there. For the launch of their “Close Shaverettes” Simply Mahvelous Legs Shave Cream, the brand has picked someone more appropriate to demonstrate its wares: Svetlana Pankratova, the woman with the world’s longest legs. Next Thursday at the Kiehl’s flagship store on Third Avenue, Pankratova will be shaving her four feet, four inch legs—and the company will donate $44 to the Lower Eastside Girls Clubs for each shaving strokes she makes, counted by members of the girls club. In addition to the shaving spectacle in-store, Kiehl’s is hosting an in-store and online contest, during which customers can guess how long it takes Pankratova to shave her legs. Shoppers and Kiehls.com browsers can submit their guesses down to the second, and the customer in each Kiehl’s store and on Kiehls.com who comes closest to the exact answer will win a full year’s worth of  “Close Shaverettes” Simply Mahvelous Legs Shave Cream.
