(NEW YORK) It takes guts for an Italian fine jewelry line to open a store during New York's Fashion Week, but such was the case last night when Morellato opened its new boutique on Fifth Avenue with a jammed cocktail party hosted by the Young Friends of Save Venice. Olivia Chantecaille, Alexandra Lind Rose and Adelina Wong Ettleson took a much-needed break from show-going to mix and mingle in the bling-filled store.

Wait--is that Mena Suvari? Indeed. "I've had a long love affair with Italy, so it only makes sense that my first Fashion Week stop was for Morellato," she said. "Their designs are smart, classy and creative. I'm honored to be a part of such a fun and intimate night." Even recently-signed Ford model Ryan Lochte made a cameo, citing fashion as one of his serious interests and revealing his plans to hit up Tommy Hilfiger today. Lydia Fenet dropped in post-Milly. "Venice such a beautiful and unique city--it would be sad for future generations to only it through paintings and drawings," she said. "Save Venice is doing such a fantastic job of raising awareness."
