Turning Back Time
(LOS ANGELES) Rodial founder Maria Hatzistefanis flew from London to Los Angeles to launch the company's newest beauty savior in a bottle, Glamotox. To ensure this "glamorous alternative to botox" got onto the right faces, Hatzistefanis enlisted Jenni Kayne and Hilary Tisch to host a small luncheon in the Palm Room at the Bel Air Hotel on Thursday. The glamorous--and those who make people glamorous--turned up, including Bridget Romanek, Nicole Chavez, Lake Bell, and Shiva Rose.
The ladies gabbed little about beauty during the meal, preferring to discuss more exotic ventures, like vacation spots. "It's just beautiful in Tuscany, it's near Sienna--the real countryside. It's so relaxed and magical there," Rosetta Getty, who summers in the romantic locale with her family, told Kayne, who is planning her next getaway. Racking her brain, Kayne quipped, "What's that movie in Tuscany with Liv Tyler?" Rose had the answer. "Stealing Beauty!" she exclaimed. "Yes," nodded Kayne, "I want to live in that house!"
London fashion was another major topic of discussion. Romanek, in a white ruffled Oscar de la Renta top and Twenty8Twelve pants, raved about the Miller sisters' London store. "It's so smart and hip!" she gushed. Meanwhile, Lucky's Marlien Rentmeester was super excited, having received her Topshop delivery that morning. "I ripped open the box and put the dress right on!" As far as Glamotox was concerned, according to Hatzistefanis, this customer base was perhaps not ideal. "You all have such beautiful skin you might not even need this yet!"
