(NEW YORK) Known for his celeb-adored frocks, things got scientific during the Brian Reyes show. "We started with the theory of evolution, studying skeletons, form and the human body," the designer explained Skeletal print chiffon tank tops resembled Rorschach ink blots and drew eerie attention to the human frame. Seersucker and pretty pinstripes were a refreshing respite on the runway, and like others this season, Reyes offered his insight on how to do denim differently. High-waisted indigo denim shorts and tiered skirts were always youthful, never childish. Reyes succeeded in bringing a darker, more thoughtful twist to the playful cocktail dress.
