Christie's and Miriam Hasell host a ladies' luncheon celebrating new collections and upcoming sales

(NEW YORK) If last week's sales are any indication, the art world is back in business. So no wonder Christie's and Miriam Haskell hosted a ladies' lunch on Thursday to preview the former's 20th Century Photographs and the latter's latest collection of baubles. Gabrielle Fialkoff, Nathalie Kaplan, Lydia Fenet and Sarah Shepard hosted the event, which brought a bevy of girls-about-town to Christie's Rockefeller Center headquarters.

Allison Aston, Dr. Lisa Airan, Alexandra Lebenthal, and Shirin von Wulffen were only a few who enjoyed a chicken salad while waiters brought around trades of baubles (strictly for admiration purposes, as purchases were possible only in the next room). Olivia Chantecaille had her eye on several rings, while Bettina Zilkha was more enchanted by the necklaces. "Is it too early to wear so much jewelry?" Zilkha laughed. "No, never."
