About Time

(LOS ANGELES) A sense of worldly concern and style sensibility prevailed on Wednesday night as several key players including Jason Bateman, Justin Bartha, Rebecca Gayheart, Alex O' Loughlin, Anthony Kiedis, James Van Der Beek, Harry Morton, Michael Muller, Jenni Kayne, Shiva Rose, Rosetta Getty, Larry King, George Blodwell, Jenni Kayne, Amanda Luttrell Garrigus, George Kotsiopoulos and Magda Berliner turned out at Milk Studios in Hollywood to support photographer Michael Muller debut his work from a recent trip to the Galapagos Islands--a project sponsored by IWC Schaffhausen to benefit the Charles Darwin Foundation.

"We were swimming with hundreds of sharks, and this was the first trip where I used underwater strobes to get the shot--which I now I have a patent pending for," explained the photographer. "Oh, and I'm a big watch guy...kind of like how women are with handbags or shoes, you know? I've been a longtime fan of IWC. I would put their watches on celebrities all of the time when I would shoot them, so it's amazing to be a part of this partnership. More than that, I really respect a green company who puts their money where their mouth is."

While the breathtaking images and stunning watches on display captured the attention of guests, it was clear that some attendees were simply there to see Muller in the flesh. "Michael is one of my best friends and I came out to see what took him away from us for so many weeks. This is pretty good proof that he was doing what he said was doing!" laughed Bateman, surveying the underwater images with a nod of approval. "He's shot me before, but I certainly don't photograph as well as the iguanas!" the actor joked, who also hinted with a wink that he aspired to own an IWC watch in the very near future.

Not far off, a glowing Gayheart, boasting an adorable baby bump beneath her beaded Vince tunic, stayed close to husband Eric Dane, who like many of the men in the room, were smitten with the timepieces for the duration of the evening. "My husband is a huge, huge fan of IWC. He wears an IWC watch on every episode of Grey's Anatomy, so you better believe we know this brand well!" she beamed.

Later on, an Aquatimer watch was raffled off to the crowd and the IWC admiration carried on amongst the fashion folk in attendance. In mid-sentence, Kotsioupolous couldn't help but roll up the sleeves of his leather motorcycle jacket to show off his enviable watch as well. "I'm not even a watch guy, but I love my IWC! It's beautiful and classic and it's the only accessory that billionaires take a look at and can call it out by name!"
