A Filthy Fête

Thompson LES plays host to Dolce & Gabbana and Madonna's Cinema Society after-party

(NEW YORK) The Lower East Side may be one of the grittiest neighborhoods in Manhattan, but you wouldn't know it from the inside of the new Thompson LES. Last night's Cinema Society after party for Filth and Wisdom, the directorial debut of Madonna herself, was as slick as the bevy of sexy A-listers in Dolce & Gabbana.

"Please get the shoes!" exclaimed the Queen of Pop to Patrick McMullan photographer Billy Farrell about her Chanel gun heels. "I didn't suffer in these beauties just for them to be ignored."

Don't worry Madge, you're impossible to ignore! A bevy of supporters came out for the fete including Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, Jeremy Piven, Malin Akerman, Elizabeth Banks, Erika Christensen, Lake Bell, Max Minghella, Padma Lakshmi, Terry Richardson, and Joe Zee.

Lindsay Lohan, Marc Jacobs, and Lindsay Price all caught the pop diva's Sticky & Sweet show at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night. "Last night at her show, she got down on one knee and blew me a kiss. I'm her biggest fan," said Lohan who styled her locks to match Madonna's. "If I can look like her at her age, I'll be very happy," said a Chloé-clad Diane Kruger who came with paramour Joshua Jackson.

Jacobs was also blown away. "Last night was my favorite Madonna moment." MJ and boyfriend Lorenzo Martone caught up with Harper's Bazaar EIC Glenda Bailey in Lanvin who was gushing about his collection for Louis Vuitton.

The fashion was ultimately all about Dolce & Gabbana, orchestrated by Ali Wise who scored a home run for the brand with her boyfriend Jason Pomeranc, the founder of the Thompson Hotel Group. "The Lower East Side is my favorite neighborhood in New York," said Pomeranc. Despite being still under construction, the hotel managed to impress a number of the stars who will no doubt be decamping from the Gramercy Park Hotel. Who wouldn't want to take a dip in a pool with a Warhol self-portrait displayed on the bottom?

The night's chatter centered (of course) on fashion, but also on "filthy" topics. "There's something very unnerving to have to climb up a ladder in your underwear," said Price of her most scandalous on-screen moment on Lipstick Jungle. "We did it in my retail space so there weren't a lot of creature comforts, just a mattress and some cinder blocks."

Sex and the City star Jason Lewis also dished to The Daily. "My filthiest on screen moment was having sushi thrown at me." We're guessing Lewis passed on the Asian hors d'oeuvres and focused on swarm of social swans like Byrdie Bell, Fabiola Beracasa, Ferebee Bishop Taube, Zani Gugelmann, Katie Lee Joel, Beth Ostrosky, and Eleanor Ylvisaker.

Vanessa Williams mingled with Ugly Betty co-star Becki Newton. "This is very rare that the entire cast is out and about," said Newton. "But I can't celebrate too soon. I have a 5 a.m. call tomorrow morning and car that will be waiting for me at 4:30 a.m. outside of my home."
