(NEW YORK) Pint-sized automotive brand MINI will host a series of parties and events on a Hell's Kitchen rooftop this Fashion Week. The festivities will kick off with a Dazed and Confused party on September 4, complete with a performance by hipster-favorite MGMT. On September 5, Assouline will host a cocktail party to celebrate its new book, Veruschka; the iconic model will be there in the flesh, signing copies. September 6 will see a Ksubi-hosted party with DJs and Kingwood Australian barbeque, and September 8's events include a Good Magazine party, DJed by James Murphy of LCD Sound System. Edun will have its Spring 2009 presentation on the MINI rooftop on September 9, followed by a screening of a documentary on Edun's manufacturing facility in Uganda, a roundtable discussion with the filmmaker and Edun's Ali Hewson, and (of course!) a party DJed by Vito Roccoforte and Gabe Andruzzi from The Rapture. After a couple days off (we'll need it!), the party ends with a bang with Parisian party institution Respect Is Burning's famous Eté d'Amour event. During the day, guest can unwind between non-stop shows with yoga and discussions on fashion, art, film, music and design. Select events will be open to the public; register at MINIspace.com.
