Piaget attracts a slew of celebs to the Loft & Garden at Rockefeller Center

(NEW YORK) Piaget took the terrace party concept to an impressive level last night, when the brand launched its Limelight Paris-New York Collection in conjunction with Vogue and the Whitney Contemporaries. Maggie Gyllenhaal and Liv Tyler chatted about their children in one corner of The Loft & Garden at Rockefeller Center, while live models displayed bling in another. DJ Paul Sevigny provided the upbeat soundtrack. "I picked my jewels myself online. I love that Piaget chose a theme of the 12 tallest buildings in New York for the collection," said Emmy Rossum as she displayed her sparkling accessories. "But ironically, I'm  terrified of heights. This is as far as I go."

Rossum's phobia doesn't extend to airplanes, though--she might have to board one for her first trip to Geneva, where she was personally invited by Piaget CEO Philippe Leopold-Metzger. Speaking of trips, Gillian Miniter chatted about her upcoming family destinations. "At the end of August, we're going on vacation with the kids to Istanbul and Paris," she excitedly announced while mingling with guests like Mena Suvari, Allison Aston, Joe Zee, Lisa Anastos, Adam Lippes, Lydia Fenet and Roopal Patel.

But nobody did more guest-gazing than Becki Newton. "I've been in this city for few weeks and I'm still in pleasant shock," she said. "The fashion on both coasts is so different. I just want to stand in front of the entrance by the elevator and watch people as they come in." Leighton Meester already had her next destination (along with Sebastian Stan and Rossum) all planned out. "I feel like this dress is properly glam for the occasion, but I'm going to The Police concert after this," she smiled. "So I have jeans and a  T-shirt ready in the car!"
