Trash It!
(LONDON) PPQ is hardly a traditional British label, so why stage a ho-hum store opening? Instead, the brand opted to throw a farewell bash for their boisterous Mayfair studio. Several guests even dared to dub the gala "Trash the Carpet." Designers and hosts Percy Parker and Amy Molyneaux offered guests sushi and sashimi, while the drinks and toasts spilled out onto Conduit Street. Frequent PPQ collaborator Peaches Geldof led the upbeat goodbye charges. "When I step into PPQ, it's like walking through my own front door," she said. "I love everyone there and I think Amy is a visionary designer. She knows how to create the perfect party dress--with a great gothic touch!"
After multiple Snow Queen cocktails and a set by The Golden Gigolo Trio, the cheery store closing moved to Bungalow 8, where guests like Jaime Winstone, Alfie Allen, Camilla Rutherford, Henry Holland, Sara Gilmour, and Ben Grimes tested their partying endurance. Grimes claimed an advantage. "Amy & Percy make clothes make me want to stay out for at least another two hours, dance for at least another eight songs and talk to at least six more people than I normally would," laughed the model. In that case, she was perfectly outfitted for the night ahead.
