Helena Christensen celebrates the summer frock
Thursday, March 27, 2008

(NEW YORK) Wednesday night, Helena Christensen transported guests to a tropical paradise. The model hosted the launch of Tocca's Vintage dress collection at her store Butik. Christensen donned the original 90s version of the frock. Surrounded by the sherbet-hued gowns, she reminisced about her relationship with the brand. "Way back in the day, when the founder of Tocca and I were hanging out, she would sew these little dresses for her friends," Christensen recalled. "When I went to Thailand I brought back fabrics so she made me a few dresses, soon enough all the top girls were wearing them backstage!"

Alexandra Richards, Lydia Fenet, Amy Sacco and Damon Dash stopped by to view the collection. "These colors are so summer, I want to grab one and run out the door," said Fenet, who breezed in before heading out to call an auction. Clad in a mix of black Balenciaga and Dolce & Gabbana, Richards checked out the bright party minis. "I just switched agencies from Next to Wilhelmina so now I am working and completing my studies in fine arts," she said.

In March the collection will be sold exclusively at Butik. Beginning in April, they will be available at select retailers nationwide including Bergdorf Goodman and online at Tocca.com. "You feel like a grown up little girl in them," said Christensen. "This will definitely be another Tocca summer!"
