How are you? I just landed in Beijing. It's 10pm right now and my time schedule is all messed up. This summer I've done the Hamptons, St. Tropez, Sardinia, and now China. I went to Shanghai first-there is a Four Seasons there and it's a very westernized city. I saw the Bund and the Jade Buddha Temple and the Shanghai Children's Palace (the food was good there). Then we went to the city gates, the National Embroidery Research Institute, the Garden of Fishing Net Master, and finally, we found ourselves on a boat on the West Lake. From there, we went to Huagang Park, a 4th-century Yin monastery, and then to Huangshan, where they make green tea. From there, we took a cable car up to the Yellow Mountain-it is beautiful there, but the food is not so edible and the cities and towns are not yet all developed. But the mountain is amazing, our guides and pilots and drivers have been excellent, and all the people here are so friendly and hard-working. It's a great experience here; definitely different than St. Tropez or being at Villa d'Este with my family; we're definitely exploring here.
Having just arrived in Beijing, I'm looking forward to seeing the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. Then it's off to Hong Kong where I go see my friend, Dino.

P.S. I have been getting foot massages every day. It's a big thing here apparently. I'm going to check out China Club and the Red Lantern area now that I'm back in a city. All I did in the small towns was sleep by 9:30pm. I am looking forward to the nightlife.
