Alice + Olivia presentation raises eyebrows.
(NEW YORK) Who needs to put on a proper runway show when you can throw a killer party at the meatpacking district’s newest hotspot Provocateur instead? “You guys having fun? Cuz I am,” Mickey Avalon yelled to the guests at the Alice + Olivia “presentation.” Most of the guests were too busy drinking champagne, munching mini-cupcakes and partying up a storm to pay much attention to the Alice + Olivia clad models perched on platforms and lounging in fur-covered bench swings. “Who’s that?” one guest asked pointing to designer Stacey Bendet.
Mickey Avalon put on a concert for a crowd including Ke$ha, Kelly Osbourne, Mena Suvari, Maggie Rizer, Tinsley Mortimer, Melissa Joan Hart, Kelly Bensimon, Sophia Bush, Gossip Girl’s Matthew Settle and Kelly Rutherford, and Semi Precious Weapons' frontman Justin Tranter. Backed up by bikini clad girls who posed provocatively while smoking cigarettes, Avalon performed brand new song “The Fast Life” recorded with Travis Barker. With Bendet’s super girly design aesthetic—she ran around the party in what closely resembled a tutu—who ever knew she had it in her to throw such a rocking party?
