Science Nonfiction

(NEW YORK) Sci-fi costumes courtesy of Nicolas Ghesquière? It doesn't require a stretch of the imagination, especially given the Balenciaga designer's Spring collection shown last week in Paris. On October 24 and 25, this hypothetical will be realized--French visual artist (and designer of Balenciaga boutiques) Dominique Gonzalez Foerster will be presenting a performance installation at the Guggenheim Theatre, complete with dresses by Balenciaga. The performance will be based on Soylent Green, an iconic science fiction film from the 70s. Ghesquière himself has designed the costumes-and will be attending final rehearsals.
