(NEW YORK) Danielle Steel makes no apologies for her addiction to couture fashion and fine jewelry. And next month, those seeking to own a piece of the iconic writer can do just that. Steel, whose reported worth is estimated to be between $600 and $800 million, is selling a portion of her jewelry collection at Christie's Jewels: The New York Sale. A total of 14 lots are scheduled to be auctioned off on April 16 at a 10 a.m. morning session. None of the pieces are in the six-figure range (she's surely saving those for daughters Victoria, Vanessa, and Samantha Traina), but they're impressive no less. Among the highlights are a pair of sapphire and diamond "Morning Glory" ear clips by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co., estimated to go for $18,000 to $22,000; a diamond-and-black-coral own brooch by Van Cleef & Arpels, which is estimated sell for between $15,000 and $25,000; a citrine bead and gold necklace by Asprey, estimated at $4,000 to $6,000; and a Franck Muller diamond and white gold watch, estimated at $3,000 to $5,000.

Christie's seems to be the auction house of choice for discerning women with taste--and jewelry--to spare. In October 2006, Ellen Barkin famously sold off 103 lots of baubles given to her by ex-husband Ron Perelman, fetching nearly $20.4 million.
