Kate Middleton's Newest Photo-Op
Tuesday, January 22, 2008
(NEW YORK) Kate Middleton's motto for mentors appears to be the same as for boyfriends: only the best will do. Prince William's girlfriend has decided to hone her photography skills--ironic, given her daily challenge fending off paparazzi in London--by going to work for Mario Testino at his Manhattan studios in March. Middleton, who left her job as a fashion buyer for Jigsaw last October, met the famed shutterbug through her royal connection, as both Prince William, Price Harry, and their mother, the late Princess Diana, were all famously close. Just before her tragic death in August 1997, Testino photographed Diana for Vanity Fair, and in 2006 published Diana: Princess of Wales, a coffee table book filled with images he shot of her over the years. A rep for Testino at his agency, Art Partner, said she was unaware of the situation.
