Aerin Lauder's Lair

Private Collection Boutique to launch in Bergdorf Goodman
Tuesday, October 23, 2007

(NEW YORK) Aerin Lauder helped build a billion-dollar beauty empire on the notion that every woman wants something beautiful and special, and now she's applying that same premise to establish her own personal retail presence. The senior vice president of global creative directions at Estée Lauder is launching her Private Collection Boutique on Bergdorf Goodman's beauty level in November. But there won't be any lipsticks or eyeliners at this cozy counter; rather, the shop will offer a variety of hostess gifts, culled from Lauder's own time-tested roles as wife, mother, and daughter. These products range from gold bamboo-handled makeup brushes, stylish compacts, and gold lockets to a special coffee table book by Victor Skrebneski, the photographer responsible for much of the Lauder beauty ads throughout the Sixties and Seventies. There are even candles and soaps infused with nostalgic Estée Lauder scents like Cinnabar and Estée. While the products offer a little something for everyone, all the items stocked will be exclusive to the shop, including the gold leather Lanvin ballet slippers designed by Alber Elbaz that are certain to become a holiday must-have.
