Calvin Klein's Creed
(NEW YORK) Calvin Klein, Inc. is collaborating with British artist and 2001 Turner Prize winner Martin Creed on a unique performance project that will take place at London's newly created underground venue P3, on October 15. As conceived by Creed, the event will bring together all of Calvin Klein's spring collections within his own installations and will feature an orchestral element as the simultaneous centerpiece and backdrop of the event. The performance is inspired by Creed's "Work 673" and will feature Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans, Calvin Klein Underwear, and Calvin Klein Swimwear. The event will be hosted by Naomi Watts and the company's creative directors Francisco Costa, Italo Zucchelli, and Kevin Carrigan, along with Tom Murry, CKI president & chief operating officer.
"London is a very important market for Calvin Klein," said Murry in a statement. "I believe this unique event will achieve our objective of further elevating our brand in this globally important market." Europe, and the U.K. in particular, has become a focus market for Calvin Klein. The Calvin Klein Collection women's boutique within Harvey Nichols debuted in March and the company's brands are now available across London at Harrods, Selfridges London, and House of Fraser. Additionally, there are free-standing Calvin Klein Underwear stores on Kings Road, New Bond Street, and Covent Garden which will soon be joined by the much-anticipated opening of the Calvin Klein Jeans flagship store on Regent Street later this year, followed by the opening of the first ck Calvin Klein Watch & Jewelry store on South Molton Street next spring.
