(NEW YORK) Désolée, exhibitionist-types: the New York Acedemy of Art's October 7 fundraiser may be dubbed "Take Home a Nude," but dress is required. The 18th annual art auction benefit at Sotheby's will feature cocktails, music, dinner, and silent and live auctions, offering works by the likes of Ross Bleckner, Jeff Koons, Eric Fischl, Kenny Scharf, and many more. This year, John Currin will be the man of the evening; the artist will be honored by event co-chairs David Lauren, Tobias Meyer, and GQ's Jim Nelson. For those worried that the nude theme will mean a fashion-free evening, not to worry.
