(NEW YORK) The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection show has become a staple of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week over the past six years, and this season, the charitable extravaganza features a different twist. Traditionally, The Heart Truth teams up with brands from Marc Jacobs and Diane von Furstenberg to Calvin Klein and Zac Posen to create one-of-a-kind red dresses that are presented in a runway show sometime around National Wear Red Day on February 6. This year, the show will go on--but in addition to the Bryant Park production, The Heart Truth will auction some of the dresses via Clothes Off our Back, the celebrity clothing auction founded by actors Jane Kaczmarek and Bradley Whitford to benefit children's charities. Available in the auction? The sequined Diane Von Furstenberg dress worn by Kelly Ripa, a Donna Karan creation sported by Rachael Ray, a Carmen Marc Valvo gown seen on Vanessa Williams, and more--including some of the dresses that will be worn in this year's show. A selection will be displayed in New York at Rockefeller Center's Top of the Rock Observation Deck from February 14-21, and the auction begins at www.clothesoffourback.org on February 6.
