Tory Burch makes six senior executive hires

(NEW YORK) Karen Murray, formerly president of the Nautica Men's Sportswear and Nautica Jeans Co. division of VF Corp., has been named president of VF Corp.'s Sportswear coalition, overseeing the Nautica, Kipling (U.S.) and John Varvatos businesses.

Vicki Cantrell, formerly senior vice president and chief information officer at Giorgio Armani, is now chief operating and CIO at Tory Burch.

Kate Macaluso, a veteran of Gucci Group, has been named director of marketing at Tory Burch.

Elisa del Pos, formerly vice president of international sales at Donna Karan, has been named general manager and vice president of European sales at Tory Burch.

Scott Herckis has been named vice president of finance at Tory Burch. Most recently, he was chief financial officer at Charles Nolan Apparel LLC.

JoAnn Slattery, formerly vice president of women's ready-to-wear and children's at Burberry, has been named vice president of sales, ready-to-wear, at Tory Burch.

Lydia Forstmann has been named vice president of sales, overseeing Japan and Asia, at Tory Burch. She comes from Coach, where she was director of sales for Asia.

Mike LaFavore has resigned from his post as editorial director of Meredith Corp.'s magazines.

Victor F. Gazni resigned from the Hearst Corporation, where he had been president, chief executive officer and director. A replacement has yet to be named. In the interim, Frank A. Bennack, Jr., the immediate past president and chief executive of Hearst, will fill his post.

Jack Kliger, previously president and chief executive officer at HFM U.S., has been named chairman there.

Alain Lemarchand, currently the directeur général Délégué of Lagardère Active, has been named CEO of HFM U.S. He will be replaced by Edward Russo, currently corporate controller for the Lagardère Group.

Danko Steiner, currently art director at Vogue, has been promoted to design director there.

Lisa Berman, currently photography director at Portfolio, has joined Entertainment Weekly to oversee the magazine's photo department.
 
Julie Moore, director of event marketing at Vanity Fair, has joined Entertainment Weekly in the same capacity.

Rob Shuter, deputy editor at OK! magazine, has been promoted to executive editor.

Crista Vaghi, currently fashion director, publishing, of Town & Country, is relocating to Los Angeles to be the L.A. director for C.

Mary McCarty, formerly at Variety, is now account director overseeing beauty and home for C.

Leslie Osbourne, formerly with the New Yorker, is now account director covering Orange County and San Diego for C.

Samantha Traina, formerly associate fashion editor at C, has been promoted to fashion editor.
 
Kelsey McKinnon, formerly of Today Chicago Woman, is joining C as associate editor.
 
George Kotsiopoulos, formerly style director at C, is now style editor-at-large.

Agnes M. Landau, currently senior vice president, makeup and promotional marketing at Clinique, has been named senior vice president, global marketing for the brand.

Kristina Buckley, who recently completed her MBA, has been named vice president of marketing and communications at Van Cleef & Arpels.

Sandra Mariniello, formerly director of public relations and special events at Christian Dior, has returned to Louis Vuitton North America, where she is now director of special projects and events.

Maggy Siegel has been named president and chief operating officer of Dylan's Candy Bar.

Tony Alcindor has been promoted to vice president of public relations and marketing for Ports 1961; he was previously public relations director there.

Stephen Duggan, previously chief financial officer at the Publishing Group of America, Inc., has been named chief financial and operating officer at Alpha Media Group Inc.

Lauren Tabach-Bank, formerly director of public relations at Alvin Valley and a freelance publicist, is now senior PR manager at Pollini.

Orit Reisman Berliner, previously a freelancer, joins Tracy Paul & Company as an account executive.

Jackie Valls, formerly public relations coordinator at Cohen Raines PR, has been promoted to PR director.

Jackie Trebilcock, previously in the marketing and public relations department at InGear Swimwear, has been named licensing manager at Hearst Magazines.

Maria D. Lopez, St. John's vice president of design has left the company after 10 years.
