Acne at Home
(NEW YORK) H&M and IKEA aren't the only fabulous Swedish imports. Acne Jeans celebrated its first store in New York Thursday night at 10 Greene Street. The crowd, which included Stefano Tonchi, Julie Gilhart, Hamish Bowles, and Chloë Sevigny, enjoyed a champagne toast in the unique space. Designer Jonny Johansson declared his eternal love for the city. "I've been looking forward to this for many years," he proclaimed. "It's the final step!"
Bowles mooned over Acne's unique aesthetic. "It's the counterpoint to Cloak, right?" he asked. Opening Ceremony designer Sevigny was stunned from the second she walked in. "There's so much denim!" she exclaimed. She made a point to browsed through the racks, but admitted she was sporting neither Acne nor her own line. "I'm wearing Rodarte," she said. "I'm going to their party tonight. I've gotta support my girls!"
