eLuxury Goes Eco

Site abolishes catalogs

(NEW YORK) Mid-afternoon impulse purchases got a little more guiltless thanks to eLuxury.com. The designer e-tailer made shopping a more eco-friendly pursuit by replacing the 270,000 catalogs it sends out annually to its database of clients with equally stylish online editions. The women's designer, women's contemporary, and men's look books debuted on the site on Tuesday; the accessories style guide launched today. "Besides the noticeable environmental impact, it allows us to create more trend-based and conceptual style guides, showcase more merchandise, reach a broader audience, and target more specifically our customers," said Karen Wallerich, director of eStore and marketing at eLuxury.com.
