Monday, August 20, 2007

(NEW YORK) Calvin Klein is pulling out all the stops for Fashion Week next month. On September 5, the American fashion house will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Calvin Klein Underwear and the launch of Calvin Klein Steel with a party hosted by Djimon Hounsou and Hilary Swank at a custom-designed space on the ground floor of Calvin Klein, Inc.'s Midtown headquarters. Hounsou's chiseled body is currently featured in the brand's Calvin Klein Underwear ising campaign, while Oscar-winner Swank was the featured face in Spring 2004. In addition to numerous other former Calvin Klein Underwear models and talent expected to be in attendance, this exclusive event is scheduled on the eve of Fashion Rocks-thus, expect plenty of bold-faced names and the requisite paparazzi.

Less than a week later, on Sept. 11, Francisco Costa will be fêted in a more intimate, though no less star-studded, manner by Kate Bosworth and Julianne Moore with a dinner following the Calvin Klein Collection designer's two Spring 2008 women's shows. Costa's private affair will take place at the much-buzzed about new Wakiya restaurant at Ian Schrager's Gramercy Park Hotel.
