(NEW YORK) Daniel Ou is about to fall into the Gap. The former style editor at Cargo, who left the world of publishing in June 2004 to join the global concept team at Abercrombie & Fitch, where his duties included worldwide trend scouting, among other things, has been named director of concept development for menswear at Gap Inc. In his new position, which starts September 5, Ou will work with Patrick Robinson, the newly appointed executive vice president of design for Gap Adult and gapbody, as well as Jeffrey Uhl, vice president of men's design (and a veteran of Details magazine) in spearheading the brand's purported big re-launch in 2008. Ou will continue to be based in New York.
