Wednesday, July 18, 2007
(LOS ANGELES) After an initial introduction in Hollywood two years ago while on a globe-trotting flight of fashion, our favorite wide-eyed, cheeky yellow canary of Looney Tunes fame, Tweety, is returning to the City of Angels to set up shop in a new, limited-time retail boutique located at 9699 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills.

The Tweety designer collection, a selection of clothing and home accessories based on the animated icon, will debut with a kick-off party at the Tweety Boutique on July 25. The entire designer collection will be available for purchase exclusively at the Tweety boutique from July 25 to September 3. The latest offerings from the Tweety collection are decidedly more designer-oriented and cater to a more sophisticated female shopper, as the line expands to include appropriately themed products from Alexandre Herchcovitch, Alexander Wang, Alice Ritter, Erickson Beamon, Issa London, Miss Davenporte, and Scoop.

Price points range from $23 for Havaianas to $8,000 for a one-of-a-kind Jean Yu couture dress. Other pieces in the collection include yellow silk dresses by Thakoon, which will retail at $2,000, yellow patent leather box clutches from Samantha Thavasa by Tinsley Mortimer for $300, print Tweety bikinis, one-piece suits, cover-ups, and men's Speedos by Rosa Chá for $125- $220, and a yellow fedora by Eugenia Kim for $625.

During the month of July, the Tweety pop-up boutique will support the designer collection with dedicated store windows, in-store merchandise areas, and Tweety-themed shopping bags.
