(NEW YORK) Christina Ricci has been tapped by Samsonite to be the ambassador for its new Fashionaire line. The collection, a throwback to the company's popular travel collections from the 1960s, has been reissued for 2007 with modern materials and functionality, and updated for the busy traveler to include carry-on's and spinners. Ricci, who will host a launch party for the collection in Manhattan on March 29, will be doing a round of press to help promote it. According to a company spokeswoman, no campaign is currently being planned for this collection, though Cameron Silver, another co-host of the event, did consult on the line.
