Chanel To Show In New York, Seoul, And Rome

by Paige Reddinger

Pack your bags, darlings! We know you’re all Chanel groupies at heart, so it’s time to get ready for their latest tour. Chanel has announced it plans to stage shows in New York, Rome, and Seoul this year. First up? The Big Apple. Chanel will do another staging of its Métiers d’arts collection on March 31st, which first showed in an 18th century palace in Austria last month. Deliveries for the collection will begin in May.

Chanel’s cruise show will debut on May 4th at Dongdaemun Design Plaza, as Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel, told WWD. The sprawling urban development in Seoul was designed by architect Zaha Hadid and architectural design firm Samoo. The location was also the venue for the “Culture of Chanel: The Sense of Places” exhibition last fall. On December 1st, Karl Lagerfeld will debut his next Métiers d’arts collection in Rome. We’re very eagerly anticipating Karl’s take on Rome, if his designs and grand productions for the Dallas and Edinburgh Métiers d’arts shows were any indication…
