Loewe has partnered up for the second time with photog Steven Meisel to produce a pretty unconventional ad campaign. For his Fall 2015 women’s wear campaign, creative director Jonathan Anderson dug through Vogue Italia‘s archives to pull images from a 1997 editorial featuring Maggie Rizer and Kirsten Owen,  shot by Meisel. They ran alongside still shots of bags from the collection.

This time around, Meisel offered up a previously unreleased, undated self-portrait of himself kissing another homme as one part of the men’s campaign. He re-photographed the image, with the intention of turning his selfie into a higher art form. Meisel also snapped shots of model Marc André Turgeon in colorful Loewe Fall 2015 threads, as styled by Benjamin Bruno. Additionally, still shots of chic accessories, like the X-Cross travel bag, was captured by Damien Ropero.

So how does the maison have to say about these multi-faceted images? “The new campaign exemplifies the way in which, at Loewe, influences and ideas co-exist as part of one creative universe, connecting past and present to create a template for the future,” according to a press release. The ads will be revealed on kiosks across Paris today.
