Elie Saab - Paris Spring 2009
(PARIS) He's the best-selling couturier in the business, and predictably, Saab's ready-to-wear has a similar focus. The evening-centric collection offered plenty of pastels and chiffon treatments to choose from, but many of the offerings had us craving the more refined couture versions. Cascading trains and sequined hemlines weren't as easily digestible as the more modern fare, especially a floor-length body-conscious gown in an ashy sea foam shade with a relaxed tank-like strap. The deconstruction--or appearance thereof--made this look the sexiest by far.
