Yohji Yamamoto - Paris Fashion Week Spring 2008
Yohji Yamamoto Spring 2008(PARIS) Yohji's jumpsuit moment has lasted decades, and so, predictably, Spring 2008 was Yohji at his best: jumpsuits as painter's uniforms, jumpsuits as kimonos, black jumpsuits, shiny silver jumpsuits, colorful florals, and dragon patterns cut in asymmetrical silhouettes, topped off with jackets worn over one arm. With few embellishments, pieces captured the essence of this season's pièce de resistance. Evening looks turned up the volume--a short cocktail dress in gathered silver laminated fabric was futuristic chic while another was reminiscent of Carmen Miranda in a ruffled hoop skirt and cut-out bandeau top of fruity floral fabric.
