Kate Spade gives Emily Post a run for her money, offering a modernized take on the doyenne of etiquette’s classic. Last night, the brand celebrated the launch of All in Good Taste (Abrams), an au courant, chic guide to entertaining, etiquette, and style. The evening also spotlighted the fourth mini-episode of #missadventure, titled “The Joy Ride,” for which Girls’ star Zosia Mamet joins Kate Spade darling Anna Kendrick to pick up where the fall 2015 story left off.

Borrowing a few of the whopping 879 pieces of advice from the book, Kate Spade president and chief creative officer Deborah Lloyd invited a chic set, including Mamet and Kendrick, to a posh dinner at the NoMad Hotel. The book’s tips come in the form of personal essays, anecdotes, and recipes from 25 contributors, including Lloyd, illustrator and writer Daisy de Villeneuve, stylist Martha Ward, Paperless Post co-founder Alexa Hirschfeld, Alison Cayne of Haven’s Kitchen, The Smile’s executive chef Melia Marden, and more. Kate Spade also highlighted its #GetGifted initiative for holiday, transforming table settings into charming gifts (see below!)…

Others who came out to celebrate? Ellie Kemper, Freida Pinto, Lola Kirke, Marie Claire editor-in-chief Anne Fulenwider, W editor-in-chief Stefano Tonchi, Harper’s Bazaar executive fashion and beauty editor Avril GrahamVanity Fair fashion market director Michael Carl, and Interview fashion director Miguel Enamorado.

Of working with Kendrick and Mamet, Lloyd said, “Both women are incredibly witty and spontaneous—the true Kate Spade New York girl—and their personalities played off of each other in an amusing and unpredictable way.”

Check out “The Joy Ride,” directed by Mari Heller, and watch as the actresses become friends in a not-so-unbelievable taxi situation, and decide to take the wheel into their own hands…
