Anna Sui - New York Spring 2010
(NEW YORK) Twiggy meets Bozo in Anna Sui's 2010 Spring collection. "I wanted everybody to enjoy my mod circus. Dr. Doolittle, which was filmed in the 1960s, but was about the 1830s served as my inspiration. I loved how men dressed like dandies in the Victorian era. I had a lot of fun building collages of clothing," offered Anna Sui. There was plenty of print on print action during the show. Layering, clashing patterns and colors worked with each other in cohesion instead of against in chaos. Each model flashed a giant grin at the end of the runway, driving home the notion that clothes should make you feel joyful.
