(NEW YORK) “I was feeling a lot of sexuality and seduction. You’ll see that in the softness of the fabrics and silhouettes—the idea of dressing and undressing.” Ahem. We’ll have whatever you’re having, Panichgul! Applied to sheer chiffon skirts and vinyl corset dresses, prints like “winking” (eyelashes) and “kisses” (subtle lipstick marks) went from aw-shucks endearing to unforgivably up-front. Dresses had cutouts or were wrapped, bondage-style, in black ribbons. Even so, the impeccable construction and craftsmanship somehow kept it classy. The show-stoppers? His three closing dresses—in red, green, and nude—made of pleated and molded chiffon and georgette.
